Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Eddiewah Chapman, age 80 of Lineville, will be Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Stan Gaither and Rev. James Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Chapman passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native and life-long resident of Clay County, she was retired from Higgins Manufacturing where she had worked as a machine operator. Mrs. Chapman also enjoyed being outdoors doing yard work, gardening and fishing. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chapman is survived by one daughter, Elaine Long (Roger) of Cragford; one sister, Voncille White of Roanoke; three grandchildren: Allison Gaither (Stan) of Ashland, Jennifer Thrower (Kyle) of Heflin and Michael Long of Lineville plus four great-grandchildren: Sara Gaither, Sam Pete Gaither, Brent Thrower and Logan Thrower.
Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her parents, David Bowen Walker and Ordie Mae Green Walker; her husband, A.G. Chapman; two sisters: Joyce West and Lorene Spell and three brothers: Levis, Junior and Bill Walker.
Pallbearers will be Stan Gaither, Kyle Thrower, Michael Long, Wade Daviston, Wayne Prestridge and Ricky Farr.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Saturday.
Flowers will be accepted; however, memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Rescue Squad, 453 Taylor Road, Lineville, AL 36266
